How to set up correctly Shadow Linking in maya 2017

Hello, I have a question about linking objects to casting a shadow. For example, I have a pyramid, a land, and a crowd of people, I need a pyramid to cast a shadow on the crowd, but do not cast a shadow on the ground. Is it possible to do so in Arnold and in May 2017?
Also I have a question about SkyDomLight, why does it give not completely black color, where there should not be a shadow?1437-beauty-1.png

Shadow linking is not supported.

But light linking should work with the native light linking editor

You could split it up across separate render layers.
