See bottom here.

"The Utility shader's Object mode does not work with stand-ins. This is a known limitation with MtoA. "

The AOVs have to be defined in the scene that loads the standins.

Standins can write to an AOV, but if the AOV isn't defined in the scene, you won't get anything.

Hi,
I have a scene that loads both an .ass and an .usd sequence files.
I am rendering using GPU,
I have for test some default AOVs(diffuse, specular etc.) and a custom one Ambient Occlusion.
The issue that I have is with the ID AOV.
When I am rendering with Arnold Buffer and saving a multilayer .exr everything is fine (open the .exr in after effects and using the extractor effect I can see all the AOVs and the ID with separated colors)
When I am using the render sequence option with merged AOVs enabled from render settings, the .exr that I open in after effects has many IDs with the same color.
Also I am using the IDentifier in order to pick a color in AE because the extractor doesn't reveal the ID AOV.
Any help would be appreciated
