[Toon Shader] Select Contour Lines to Render

I've been messing around with the new Toon Shader and I'm starting to get some nice results with it. That being said, one of the major features I use for line rendering with Maya Toon is hardening edges and turning the crease angle down to zero; this results in hardened edges receiving toon lines, so that I have complete control over where I want contour lines.

Blender's Freestyle has a similar option, where you can select an edge and under the menu select Mark Freestyle Edge. That causes that particular edge to render out.

Is there currently a way to do this now with the new Toon Shader and I'm just missing it? I messed around under the Utility Shader for a while and didn't have any luck.

You should be able to get some results using the Angle Threshold of the shader and Maya mesh creases as you describe. Only in this case I set the crease amount to 5.

Thank you for the suggestion! It didn't work for my purposes, unfortunately.

My hope is in the future we'll have more control over the edges that render. Right now I'm using thin toonlines converted to polygons along edges where I need them, but it's such a convoluted way to do things. If we could mark edges the way that can be done in Blender Freestyle, that would be amazing.
