Hey Buddy,
Take a try the below method.
Create a ramp and a sampler info node. Disconnect the place2dtexture node from ramp and connect the facing ratio attribute to UCoord of Ramp through maya connection editor. Now you can change the color of your ramp according to your need, assign the same ramp textuter to both diffuse and emission of your shader.
You can check the uses of Sampler info node in web.
You can use a Facing Ratio shader (similar example at bottom).
