Open a command prompt from inside Maya, and then run depends.exe
In MEL: system("start cmd /K")

Ok the dependancy walker, app loads up and I load mtoa.dll? right? I saved out the image file, too big, 10mb to upload, so shall I do a screen grab... ? Thanks a lot.

mtoa.mll

Save a dwi file. It should be < 3MB

and < 1MB if you zip it.

Thanks for your time Stephen, the dwi file is 35mb! here is a grab that might give the info...

Ok, if you open a command prompt from inside Maya, then the DWI will be big...because almost all the dependencies will be resolved.

Rather that uploading that large file, let's use Process Monitor instead.

https://arnoldsupport.com/2018/03/27/mtoa-getting-a-process-monitor-log-to-troubleshoot-problems-loa...

Upload the zipped Process Monitor log somewhere and I'll take a look

logfile2.zip Think I did it right... weirdly Maya is listed under winlogon and explorer etc unlike the youtube vid.

I start Maya by double-clicking a batch file on the desktop, so the process hierarchy will be different

What version of MtoA are you using? 3.0.1 ?

The problem is a conflicting version of the optix.1.dll:

C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe After Effects CC 2014\Support Files\optix.1.dll

If you're still using that After Effects, can you remove it from PATH so that MtoA doesn't find it?

Thanks Stephen, 3.0.2 and that worked once I removed the path.

Using this helpful software...

Sorry time difference, hence the delay in response, really appreciate the help.

Thanks again.
