Optix Installation steps for windows

G'day all,

Wondering if some generous soul could write down the steps required for the Nvidia optix installation inclusive of the various required add-on software and their versions that are known to work together.

Regards,

rob

This looks like a question for an NVidia forum.

Arnold includes all the required libraries to use the Optix denoiser with MtoA

Fair enough, i can can type it up there. Anybody know the exact steps to deploy the Arnold noice.exe then? I am unclear on whether it would do its magic within the maya or outside of it...

noice is a command-line tool. On Windows, it requires the VCRUNTIME140. There's no other special dependencies (eg in its current form, noice doesn't depend on any external libraries from Nvidia).

You don't need maya or MtoA to use noice

noice doesn't even need Arnold

Good inputs thanks Stephen, I shall look into vcruntime140!
