No difference with or without denoising

I'm seeing if I definitely migrate to Arnold & Maya and I was trying to see how good is the Optix Denoiser and I captured two versions: one with denoiser and another without denoiser:

with Optix Denoiser :

without Optix Denoiser :

1766-without-denoising.png

And the render times are the same.

Hum...What's going on? What am I doing wrong?.

Let's see, maybe it's because of my graphic card, which is a modest Quadro K620 and it renders as fast as my CPU , which is an i7.

Kind regards.

What sample settings are you using? Try lowering the Camera (AA) samples. You should notice a difference then.

Reducing the Camera (AA) doesn't mark the difference between two options. Well, let's say of course that the time is reduced by two regarding to a higher number or samples in the camera AA hence:

with denoising:

without denoising:

1775-without-denoising-2-aa-samples.png

(We can see that without denoising it takes less time...)

ERfvdsss...Any idea?

Thank you in advance.

You are not showing the denoise AOV in the Render View. Please read the documentation here.

Let me show you the options checked, are they enough / correct? Do I have to check something else?.

When I render it I see some stage during the progress with a temporal blurry effect which disappears till the final image so the Optix Denoisier is working...But in this way.

Thank you very much for your help.

Best regards.

That is correct. Test it with another simple scene if you are not sure it is working.

Testing it with another scene (One well known):

with denoiser:

1787-with-denoiser.png

without denoiser:

1788-without-denoiser.png

Again the same times.

What I think is one of two:

a).-Or I'm doing something wrong.

b).-Or my graphic card has not enough CUDA Cores to compete against my i7 microprocessor.

Best regards.

Can we see an Arnold log?

How can I get the log?.

I've been activating some checkboxes in the Render Settings Windows and stablishing some directories but I can't find anything there.

Please if you can help me with it.

Thanks in advance.
