No Material Preview

Hello,

I have had a problem with material previews in the material editor, ever since I started using Arnold for 3Ds Max. Using the material editor effectively is proving challenging due to the fact that most maps I need to use won't show me a preview of what I'm doing (bitmap and standard surface displays a preview).

I can see the result of what I'm doing in the material I'm working on, but the results are very unpredictable when I can't view the inputs individually.

Show Shaded Material in Viewport also won't work with the same maps that don't show a preview in the material editor. Bitmap will work fine, but Image will not.

Auto Update is on, and Update Preview does nothing.

I had the same problem at home as here at work, which leads me to believe that there might be some setting I'm missing here... but I find it odd that a google search turned up nothing.

Anyone have an idea of what might be the problem?

Preview of Maps still not implemented or even not will be.

Only way to make preview of Map at this moment in Material Editor is connect map to material Map to Material node :-(.
