Hi
I have just started learning Arnold in 3ds max 2019. I follow the tutorials which use older version ( my version is 2.0.937).
In one of the tutorials they use composite map which was under Arnold-color but it is not in my max. Can you please let me know where I can find it?
From what I can see this this will only connect two textures anyway. How I can connect/mix more that two?
Thank you very much for any help
@Michal Ziolko You can composite using nodes see below. A bit of a process you can add a black and white mask in the mix slot. hope this helps.
Try https://docs.arnoldrenderer.com/display/A5AF3DSUG/Layer+RGBA
https://github.com/gkmotu/3dsMax-OSL-Shaders/blob/master/OSL/ADN-User%20Submitted/MadsD/Layers.osl
Layers.osl shader added to Autodesk Git just a moment ago.
Let me know how it turns out.
So is there an answer to what happened to the composite map in the current version of Arnold?
Hello,
I saw your post here b/c I was looking for it too and couldn't find it. I Posted a similar question in the "Arnold for 3ds max" forum (https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/arnold-for-3ds-max/bd-p/mtoa-forum). Hopefully we can get an answer if you don't already know the solution.
