MtoA : Deadline : Multiple renderlayers not exporting .ass

We have Deadline 10, Maya 2018, and MtoA 3.0

We use a custom deadline submitter that sends a single Maya plugin job that exports all .ass required to render all camera/renderlayer combinations. I'm pretty sure this was working previously, but perhaps not. Anyway, it's not working now. When I have multiple renderlayers in a scene, and submit it to deadline, The Maya(export Arnold) job that should export ,ass files, only exports the defaultRenderLayer layer.

I tried using Deadline's own submitter to see if I could gleam any missing settings from our in house submitter, but in actual fact, the deadline submitter ALSO failed to export .ass files for the other renderlayers.

The prefix we have is :pipelineTest_v006/<Camera>_<RenderLayer>/<RenderPass>/dev_000_000_pipelineTest_<Camera>_<RenderLayer>_<RenderPass>_v006

Has anyone had similar trouble getting multiple renderlayers from rendering .ass files on deadline?

Any suggestions as to where I might have broken things by changing an innocuous setting? I'm at a loss here.

How do you export all these ass files? Are you using the arnoldExportAss command? That exports the current layer.

Probably you are missing an activation,
render view (maya default),
Render (Menu)
Render all layers

or
import maya.mel as mel
mel.eval("switchRenderAllLayers;")

I'm just using the deadline submitter.
It appear to only generate .ass files for the masterLayer, not any other layers.
The submitter does make kick jobs for the other renderlayers, but they fail because they are given a path to renderlayer specific .ass files that aren't being created.
Any ideas?

What version of Deadline? In older versions, you need separate export jobs for each layer.
Then it's Deadline and your Arnold Standalone job submission that have to get the right paths. It's not Arnold doing it.

Thanks Steven,
I think I came across the issue... we're a bit behind on deadline releases, and it looks like this bug is resolved in more recent release.
I imagine that will resolve the issue.
Thanks for the reply anyway!

Cheers
