screen-shot-2018-07-09-at-43107-pm.pngHi, I have leaves on tree, leaves are image files with masks on a rectangular polygon, thus giving a "leaf" like look. When I create a custom AOV, in the image display/IPR, all I see are the white, masked out rectangular polys, please tell me what I am doing wrong, or is it not possible ?-please see screen grab, thanks
I think your alpha image should go to Opacity not just alpha of an image.
Hey Mike, please see my screen shot, I do have the alpha image connected to the opacity, can you please tell me what is wrong with my setup,? thank you screen-shot-2018-07-10-at-91130-am.png
uncheck 'opacity' arnold attribute in attribute editor. and generally RTFM !!

Hi, and thank you, but, pardon me what is RTFM,? also, in the Arnold tag, opaque is unchecked, but where do I find "opacity", sorry for my obtuseness
sorry I meant 'opaque'. so it's unchecked already you say. do you have enough transparency depth then ? also you can try with a b&w checkboard to see if it's maybe the image file you're using.
no worries, thanks, can you please tell me how/where to change transparency depth? also, the "leaf" is white surrounded by black, ( just confirmed in Photoshop) so it is OK, also, can you please define RTFM?, thank you
I think at this point you better upload a scene that can reproduce your problem.
as for RTFM .. 🙂
