Someone has already tried the new Improved sampling of spherical lights?
I not see difference in time and the noise with testing previous core...

I think it's related to point lights (Maya's Point Light), not to mesh lights with spherical shape.

I have same result in mtoa 3.0.1 and 3.1.0 with mesh light, point light, area light, shader emission, and Volume scatter. With AA1, AA4 and diffuse bounce 1 and 3...
So I not corectly understanding how it work and in which cases it will be see at.
