Is there a way of getting motion blur from an Alembic import which is just points? C4D only seems to support the point color tag when importing an Alembic which is just points so using motion vectors doesn't seem to work. I'm interested in creating sims (Pops/particles) in Houdini and exporting into C4D for Arnold. Is there any way to pull in the extra data on points?
The Alembic procedural should support velocity motion blur. You also should be able to read the color of the particles in the shader network via a user_data_rgb shader of the attribute Cd.
