Backplate and shadows

Hello! a question about the "shadow matte":

How can I make some shadows in a reflection without reflecting the backplate?

I understand that the reflection of the hdri must be seen, but it is the only way to see the reflection of the shadow.

(I put it red to make it look better)

Thanks!!

The question is: should the image put as "blackplate" be reflected in the objects?

That's what happens to me when I activate the specular on the ground. But it is the only way to see the shadows reflected.

Help please.

You can make the image plane visible in reflections/refractions in the image plane.

Thanks Lee. In these cases the normal thing is that only the hdri is reflected, right?

The funny thing is that in no tutorial it is indicated that the backplate must be removed from the reflections. Why?

Lee, It does not work. In fact, those options are unmarked. Is there no way that shadow matte is not reflected in an object?
