Render to texture and lighting issues

On the render to texture - No matter how dim I make the lights in my scene, or which kind of material I use, the render to texture looks like I've aimed a massive, super powered spotlight at my object, leaving textures overbright, (or just full on white), and washed out, with a yellow hue. The rendered/baked texture does not seem to have ANY relation to the rendered scene anymore. Completely different results.

On the lighting - All lights using Arnold are colouring my scenes with a yellow light both on my scene renders and render to texture. I've tried various settings and made sure all of the colours are white on the lights, also the environment background. Still yellow!

Let me guess, your scene rendered through physical camera? And it contains Physical Camera Exposure control?
RTT, kink.exe, Denoiser don't support Max's exposure control at all. So without exposure control you get over-brighten image, I guess.

Try to make lowe exposure of light and see whats happans.

That made a difference in my scene render, thankyou, but none in my render to texture, still painfully overbright.

In simple scene you have same problems? Or only with current scene?

Same in the simple scene.

@Holly Grzedzicki

exposure and tonemapping controls are skipped during the baking process. Can you post a simple scene showing the problem ? What type of element or AOV are baking out ?
