tempered or laminated glass shader trick

To have the specific effect of laminated glass (this greenish color on the side of a glazing partition) I used to have a different colored material with Mental Ray. It does not do the job with arnold. Any tips about it?

thanks

What exactly isn't working for you? Please be more specific.

There's many ways you can approach this.

- You can paint a mask and adjust the transmission properties using that mask
- You can assign two different materials
- You can insert an extra piece of greenish transmissive geometry (only visible in refraction) to simulate the laminate layer inbetween the glass

I will try those ideas and let you know. Thanks for that.

The green color is due to the iron contained in glass... So coloring the transmission slightly in green (almost white in fact), chamfering the edges (not smooth, like in real life...) and spacing quite a bit (more than in real life...) the panels, finely did the trick. Well, I find it easier to do it like that rather than other methods.

thanks again for the 3 ideas to do it.
