Rendering a region of the image with Maya and Backburner

Hi, I was wondering whether it's possible to render just a region of the image while using Backburner. I know that there's the batch render flag "-reg", but the documentation only mentions using those flags when rendering using the command line. Is it possible to input those render flags somewhere within Maya, say in the render settings window or the custom command box inside the Backburner submission window?

can't you set the -reg flag in the Job Options?

Additional Options

Specify any additional flags to the command line renderer. This is equivalent to setting the options in Render -r <renderer name> <options> <filename>. See About the command line renderer for more information.
