I can't subdivide model while I am using catclark mode. It is only smoothing edges but not subdividing. and I also checked it (catclark) on a cube in the same file and it is working.

Check the Arnold log for warnings about non-manifold geometry.

if you can't do it manually ... try ... Modelling->Mesh->Cleanup->RemoveGeometry->NonmanifolfdGeometry
