Hi!
I used to be a hardcore C4D user but recently switched over to maya.
One thing I miss at the moment is the state vector node from cinema.
With this node I could create gradient mask that derive from object space positions or vectors. Don't really know the mechanics behind it.
I only know that I miss it in Maya :).
Anyone found it?
Cheers,
Rik

aiStateVector
It's there. Unless you're using a version of MtoA older than 2.1.0.2
is this added in a later version?
I'm running the old arnold core 5.0.2.1 due to having a custom alembic pipeline.
You just have to unhide it from the mtoa.mtd file (C:\solidangle\mtoadeploy\2018\plug-ins)
look for: [node state_vector]
and change the word "true" to "false"
[node state_vector]
maya.hide BOOL false
maya.id INT 0x00115D93
maya.name STRING "aiStateVector"
maya.classification STRING "utility/shader"
It was exposed 11 months ago.
