Question by Vald Vald · Jan 28 at 08:00 AM · light

Meshlight error if no mesh be found

Hello.
I'm using a meshlight with particles and when in some frames there are no particles, Arnold throws an error that at least one mesh is must be.

Mantra works great in such condition, but Arnold not. It's a bug or there is any secret trick to know?

Thanks for reporting, do you have an error log?

Hi @Julian Hodgson,

the log doesn't show any specific error or I don't know how to use it properly.

HIP file attached.

arnold-meshlight-test.zip

Htoa 3.2.1
Arnold 5.2.2.0
Houdini 17.0.416

Note: previous Arnold versions rendered this successfully :)
