Flicking sun (animated)

Hi,

Anyone knows why I have some strange flickering in the sun (intensity ?) when I try to make a sunset ?

The scene is very simple. Juste two cubes, one plane and one sun. I just animated the elevation parameter.

I just see an image. Is there an animation?

I can't tell the flickering from the compression.

Okay haha ...

well, in fact it 's very simple (I can see it in the GIF) When I animate the elevation parameter and try to reproduce a sunset, the intensity of the sun decrease but seems to flick (Some frames are suddenly brighter, the next one darker, the next one a little brighter etc...)

I can not find a way to render a sunset without these flick in the brightness. Very strange

PS: The flickering in the bringthness in the GIF is not from the compression....

Hi Lee,

here is the scene (I work with Romain)

I also send a video showing the sun flickering.

Try to increase the Resolution of the skydome. If it's too small it can not reliably capture the area of the sun.
