MaxtoA GPU (first impressions)

Hi,

Some bugs in GPU mode(max 2018 - 2xGTX 1080 win10 17134.648)

1-Optix doesn't work in GPU

2-Some of Arnold shaders crash on GPU like AO.

I will update this post with new bugs.

few suggestions:

-Add Intel AI denoiser to arnold.(its free and open source) AIDENOISER

-a new VFB like other engines can help alot (cc,a/b compare,exposure control,bloom,glare and "better activeshade") specially for max users,native max VFB and activeshade are outdated.(really important)

3-Better material preview.

4-Converter script (that I will share my own)

Remember to switch from vector to rgb or rgba else it bugs out.
You need to add the RGBA_Denoise AOV and switch to it, then set active shader in viewport, now Otpix works in the viewport.

You can use VFB+ post grading frame buffer, its free and is compiled up to 2019 currently. I use it to get bloom, glare, grade, and lut on final Arnold renders. works good for now.

Thank's for denoiser,was my mistake I forgot change it to RGB

as you say VFB+ can help alot and is good for now but if you take a look at other engines like corona/octane/redshift/FR/Fstorm and so on quality of effects is incomparable.

Using multi regions,focus point on vfb,real zoom and much more that is possible just with a dedicated VFB can make arnold much simpler,flexible and usable.

I remeber that there was Arnold viewer in the Maya hope to be added in other versions.
