fruit rendering

I have these raspberry and blackberry. I modeled them in real world size (1.5 cm) and I use 100% SSS for both and the scale around 0.05 and this is the result I have. I want to know am I allowed to use transmission with fruits? I feel like transmission only used with very few things like glass and water. Just wondering if this is true or not. I am allowed to use a little bit transmission to let the light go through the fruits? specially the raspberry I tried to play with SSS a lot but ended up with weird colors and getting blueish.

Summary: I want to know if is it recommended to use transmission here?

I imagine the raspberry would benefit from some Transmission Scatter. How do they look with a larger SSS scale? Are you using Randomwalk v2?

Maybe you could ask Tomas Kral. There was also a raspberry challenge on Shaders XYZ but it looks like it is closed now.
