Things that would be awesome to be supported by Arnold gpu.

Things that would be awesome to be supported by arnold gpu.

1. All shaders supported by Arnold CPU (like aishadowmatte)

2. Lightpath expressions (absolute necessity for vfx)

3. No need to fit all textures in memory.(Can exceed GPU memory like redshift.)

4. Volume rendering enabled on gpu with no limit file size.

5. Cryptomatte support(absolute lifesaver for any artist)

6. Faster cache population and rendertimes(for animations especially)

7.able to crunch through heavy scenes like Arnold CPU.

8.good GPU denoising solution (better and faster than optix.)

We completely agree, 1-7 are all goals we have for GPU arnold.

I'm not sure what you mean by GPU denoising that's faster than optix. The optix denoiser is already denoising in just a fraction of a second, especially if you have a newer gpu with tensor cores.

Light path expressions are already supported. Are these causing you issues in some way?

The Altus denoiser that ships with Redshift is really really good and I wish you guys could implement it into Arnold.

@Mohammed Hamid Nope doing denoising is comp is much better with something like neat video or rg denoiser. Doing it in 3d is not the smartest option.
