How do I set up the Standard Volume Shader in 3d max. Right now the material is just black. I am trying to create a realistic sun and thought using the standard volume shader would be a good direction? Theres no good tutorials video tutorials on how to use the arnold standard volume material.
Are you applying it to an object? I get black unless I add an Arnold modifier to the object first.
If its a volume, ensure you are using the right volume channel (in most cases density), otherwise it may render black.
There are some volume tutorials (with scenes) that may be of some use.
