Grass material Arnold. (Arnold properties)

Hi all. Is it possible to make a similar grass material, as this youtube tutorial for v-ray? Perhaps with Arnold properties modifier.

Cheers 🙂

You could try displacement with a Standard Surface shader. For diffuse surfaces such as grass, enable Thin Walled and set Subsurface Weight to, for example, 0.5 to have half the light reflected and half transmitted.

I think instanced Procedurals or even Hair would look better for grass though.

Thanks. I will try it out. This is not for close up, but for a lawn around a house. So a material solution will probaly be best.

So far, but not very good. Any idea on how to get this to work?

Just drag the map onto displacement.

Getting better. Render with a hdri and a Arnold skylight.
