materialX operator file path with environment variable

Hi,

I'm trying to use an environment variable when specifying a mtlx file path in a materialX operator, connected to a standin, but I get this error:

// Error: [materialx] file missing when loading...

The same approach works fine when specifying a file path in the standin node and pretty much every other maya node that takes file paths.

Is there a way to make this work?

Thanks,

Oleg

The materialx operator does not support using environment variables in the filename

You can use the environment variable ARNOLD_MATERIALX_SEARCH_PATH

But the materialX operator will have to be just a file name, or a path fragment that can be resolved relative to ARNOLD_MATERIALX_SEARCH_PATH
