Maya 2019 Insufficient Memory with 1060

Hey all,

Keep running into the issue where my render fails and displays "Error: [gpu] an error happened during rendering : Insufficient device memory // " when rendering with the GPU. I have a 1060 3GB and latest drivers/versions for Maya, Arnold, and my card. I think it has to do with Arnold detecting the 3 GB VRAM availability and throwing this error because of it, but I would like to know if this is a software issue as the card is listed as usable on the accepted list.

Cheers

I think it means there isn't enough GPU memory for your scene geometry and textures. You have just 3GB, and surely some of that is already being used by other applications on the system.
