Question by 茂 入木 · Dec 14, 2017 at 07:26 AM · arnold5

I still see watermarks.

screenshot-from-2017-12-14-16-00-52.pngarnold-log.txt

I installed Autodesk network license manager on Windows10 machine and tried to use Arnold on Ubuntsu machine. But I still see watermarks.

I checked license server is running, .flexlmrc file is correct and Render with watermarks is off even though Arnold_log is saying "WARNING | rendering with watermarks because the skip_license_check option was enabled"

Please help me to solve this problem.

Upon startup, HtoA check for licenses and force skip_license_check if no license can be found. This is to avoid long license timeouts. It looks like this might be failing in your case. Please contact support@solidangle.com.

You need to set the ADSKFLEX_LICENSE_FILE environment if you want to render in Houdini without a watermark.

HtoA currently doesn't check ~/.flexlmrc, just ADSKFLEX_LICENSE_FILE. So if that environment variable is not set, then HtoA skips the license check during your Houdini session (and so renders with a watermark).

We have spotted an issue in HtoA, the workaround is to set the ADSKFLEX_LICENSE_FILE environment variable instead of relying the .flexlmrc file as described in https://support.solidangle.com/display/A5AILIC/%5BCLM%5D+Setting+up+Autodesk+licensing

Thanks for reporting, we are looking at fixing this issue as soon as possible.

I made ~/.profile and write "export ADSKFLEX_LICENSE_FILE=@..**.*" , and I opened ports 2080 and 27000-27009. I also checked License server's firewall and make Autodesk Network License Manager reachable from client machine. And finally I was able to rendered without watermarks!
