Render different clip geo trace sets

Hello everyone - brand new to Arnold. I have a question to clip geo - hope you can help me!

i have two objects and two clip geo materials. one is set to "floor" and one is set to "man" if i set two different trace sets ("floor" and "man") it renders only one of the objects correct. in this case the floor and the other on ("man") is not correct. How can i fix this? thanks in advance! Andreasclip_geo.zip7016-clip-geo-2.jpg7015-clip-geo-1.jpg

As a limitation currently only one clip_geo shader is allowed in a scene. You should see a warning in the console.

thanks for the info Peter. Is this limitation only in C4D or in all Arnold Engines? Do you know when a release comes without this limitation?

Limitation is in the Arnold engine. No idea when this limitation will be raised, sorry.

Move this to subobject control to haxor the situation and gain control over multiple objects. You should have something similar in c4D where you work on pr.element.
Its no problem to control the 2 boxes cutting both floor and seperate object this way, which I guess is what you want in the end.

Thank you Mads for your suggestion but i don´t know if i get it right. I try to describe my problem better...it would be interesting in your gif if you move the left cube so it overlaps the floor and the sphere. It should only cut one object even if it ovelaps both, thats why i wanted to create 2 or more clip_geos. 1 Cube should only affect the floor and 1 Cube should only the sphere even if they both overlap in an animation. I hope this explanation is a little bit better. (Sorry for the bad english)

yes ok, that combo is not possible, I just looked at your image and saw 2 boxes and guessed you wanted a basic setup going, not some array list with include/excludes.
