What file format are you rendering out?

Non-tiled EXRs will require more memory, which may or may not slow down the file writing stage

Hi Stephen, Happy New Year, and thank you. I am rendering a regular psd and psd with AOV. Open EXR would be better quality, but is the difference decernable,? also, I started to render a bunch of spheres, in a 40' X 30" space at 300 dpi, huge file, only got up to about 25% complete so I bailed, after 25 hours. So, for the second go-around, I reduced the segments from 50 to mostly 40-35 in most spheres that were mostly/partly hidden, they are in a bunch, like grapes, and I'm using transmission, so they look transparent/glasslike. I also removed many spheres behind the main ones, since we don't see them, and this should reduce render time as well I deleted all AOV layers, except an alpha. I recall, that in C4D, using multipass layers, shouldn't add to render time,? or am I wrong?-in the future, can you please briefly outline, what measures, I should take , to render efficiently, thank you-if it is easier for you, can you please tell me where I can find out this info, thank you for your time, Craig
