Getting GPU error when using CPU render

I am not even using GPU render, I am using CPU render but I am getting this. I dont know but I started getting issues after installing the latest Studio Driver from Nvidia. I am using the following Arnold and Nvidia driver versions - Arnold Core 6.0.3.1 (MtoA 4.0.3.2), Nvidia Studio driver-451.77

This is the error I am getting when I hit IPR.

// Error: [gpu] an error happened during GPU context setup : Unknown error (Details: Function "_rtBufferCreate" caught exception: Encountered a CUDA error: cudaDriver().CuDevicePrimaryCtxRetain( &context, dev.get() ) returned (999): Unknown, file: <internal>, line: 0) //

Are you using the latest version of Arnold?

Does it still render? What does the log file say?

Hi Lee,

I was using the latest version of Arnold, yes. Something else I think was the issue. I started getting the Blue Screen of Death when trying to reinstall the Nvidia driver. I ended up doing a clean install of the driver to fix the BSOD issue, but was still getting Maya crashes when opening certain files. Reinstalling Maya fixed that. Now I am not getting that error and everything looks ok.
