SSS where to put put my scatter map in shader network

hello

I wanted to know when I create skin material in substance painter along with the SSS when I export I get a white texture/png under the name scatter I wanted to know where in the nodes to I plug in the scatter png also does it work if the skin color is all black the look I'm going for is the slitty transparent reddish look on the skin when light is behind the character

yes !!! I tried putting my scatter map in weight but it changes the color of my shader to white

Can you share your standard_surface shader settings?

Is the subsurface_color white?

In your case that color would probably be a red tone

And then connect your greyscale map to a ramp node to keep it from overshooting, otherwise you will likely get a massive scattering effect all over your character

That goes into the subsurface> weight input, as it is a greyscale map. You can also paint a colormap for scattering in Substance Painter to add in the color input, or just use one color for everything (from the standard surface parameters)

hey I tried the ramp node but still don't see results :// idk if my scatter map is right
