Flush caches Houdini Solaris

Hi,

Is it possible to "Flush Caches" in Solaris, as in Maya?

When on Windows I am unable to overwrite my .tx files when using the tx manager. In Maya I have the option of "Flush Caches > Textures" and then I can re-generate my .tx files. How can I do this in Houdini Solaris? Do I have to close Houdini to flush the cache, then re-generate .tx files and re-open Houdini (if so, definitely needs a fix).

Thanks,

Klaus

We'll add the same menus in HtoA to address this issue, in htoa#1507.

Hi,

Any update on when this feature will be added?

I am in the situation now where I paint some textures in Mari, I convert them to .tx through the Maya TX manager interface. Then in Houdini I hit render. However at the moment I can not continue this loop more than one time without having to close Houdini to be able to generate a new .tx file because the current one is "in use" in Windows.

This feature is very much needed as currently when doing texture lookdev through Solaris it becomes a slow process because of the above.

Any work around would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
