GPU Fatal Error

The other day I was rendering out a scene with Arnold in Maya. I was using my GPU, and it didn't work at first. I tried it again and it was fine. I messed something up on the first render, and went to do it again. But now on the first frame when it starts to render, it gets the error; Error: [gpu] Fatal GPU error occurred, please restart the host application. And I end up with a black png. I cleared an Arnold cache from local app folder since it was the only suggestion I could find, but it did nothing.

My drivers are up to date and I'm using a 2080 super.

*I am going to try rendering again after installing a Maya update.

Maya update doesn't matter. Having the latest MtoA is best (go to arnoldrenderer.com/arnold/download)

Try to get an Arnold log (verbosity level = Info).

Unfortunately updating Arnold didn't do anything either. Here is the error log. Error.txt

Does this happen with all scenes or just this one? Maybe there is something in the scene that is causing the error?

00:00:04  4637MB ERROR   |  [gpu] an error happened during rendering : Unknown error (Details: Function "_rtContextLaunch2D" caught exception: Encountered a CUDA error: cudaDriver().CuEventSynchronize( m_event ) returned (700): Illegal address, file: <internal>, line: 0)

Is likely due to a bug in arnold or optix. Can you try and simplify your scene in order to find what caused this? If this can be simplified into a simple scene, do you think it could be shared with us?
