Hi everyone,
does anybody know why Maya 2020 won't let me overwrite .abc file that is already loaded as aiStandin? It seems that standIn locks the .abc file. It worked well when I tried with GPU cache instead.
I've got - "Error: Can't write to file: ...path", and I even have to close Maya in order to overwrite or delete that file, new scene is not enough.
And to mention, it worked well in Maya 2018.

you're right, that working version was much older MtoA version, I think 3.2
It's on Windows.
It could be the code that gets the file contents from the abc files. I don't know for sure, but I've opened a ticket for this.
I've assumed you're on Windows.
Same problem in Maya 2018, if you're using the same version of MtoA.
