I’m new to baking in 3ds max. I’m trying to tile a 2k texture over a 1400m2 area and obviously a 2k texture looks awful baked at that sort of size. I’m thinking UDIM’s are my only way forward to make the texture tile and have a good level of detail across the whole area.
Coupd anyone point me in the direction of a tutorial, or offer some advice as how best to use UDIM in my workflow, please.
I notice, in the “bake to texture” tool. It will only let me apply UDIM parameters if I have multiple map channels. Is this correct? Obviously I’m only using a single texture, so a single channel would work for me.
Any help would be much appreciated.
