Arnold Render Issue

Hi,

I am a real novice with Arnold, I just installed Arnold for houdini, however when I start rendering, I got this error message "CreateProcess failed for 'C:/Users/*****/htoa/htoa-5.6.1.0_rf9edb5c_houdini-18.5.563/htoa-5.6.1.0_rf9edb5c_houdini-18.5.563/scripts/bin/hick.exe' "

Can you help me to figure out this issue?

Hi

You have the Python 3 version of Houdini, but HtoA doesn't support Python 3 yet.

You'll need to get the Python 2.7 version of Houdini:

I tried another method, and I have uninstalled Arnold and reinstall but this time in the program files folder and this time it works

I had this same issue, did the same as above, and worked.... its ridiculous how much time I have lost installing Arnold and making it work.

had the same error, moved the HtoA to "C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Arnold\htoa" and now it works.

some notes:

1. my username has a "space" in it as in "C:/users/Ahmed Hindy/" but it used to work before.
2. even tho I cant use the Arnold ROP, Solaris works without a problem!
