I’m looking for a way to gather the diffuse illumination on an object and pass it into a ramp node. Is there any way to achieve this, or emulate it somehow? I’m looking to control the colour of shade/highlight per object.
I have so far achieved the right look by applying a gradient map to the diffuse shading in Photoshop, but now need this to appear correctly in reflections. I guess I could also bake out the shading per object, but this doesn‘t really give me the flexibility I’m looking for at this stage.
