bake to texture multiple objects to a single texture

Hello

Does anyone know if there are plans to have a bake to texture feature that would support multiple objects (with one lightmap uv page) and render to a single texture.
Currently each object would just export out a texture with the name of that object. Would be great to say select a group of objects and a texture named from that group.

You can combine (polyUnite) all shapes with the same material into a single shape before starting the bake to texture. That does the job for me !
