Operators - Turn on\off light for selection

Need some help with this one. I want to have one light affecting just a specific mesh and I can't do light lighting, because I am using Xrefs.

The Disable Operator node, disables something the light for everything in the scene, so I wonder if the Set Parameter node can be used for this. I am trying something like

/Arnoldlight001.on = off \ 0 \ false

Is this possible with Arnold Operators?

In that screenshot, you're selecting a polygon mesh and then trying to set a light parameter, so that won't work as expected.

You can use selection to select some lights, and then set light parameters.

For what you want to do, I think you would need to select the box, and then set the light linking parameters. That's the only way a light can apply to just some objects.

The XRefs will be translated to actual Arnold nodes, so we'd have to look at what is in a translated frame.

Thanks for the reply. So could I set light linking parameters with Arnold Operators without having to assign an Arnold Properties modifier? This is a good example, why the light linking should be done per light and not per object.

Also, I am not sure if the Arnold Properties Modifier would work on a Forest Pack object.

Thanks for your reply.
