Does your processor support SSE4.1?

I see you logged a case with Autodesk. They don't support CINEMA 4D or C4DtoA. They support Autodesk licensing. We support C4DtoA. I'm on the Arnold team, as is Peter, who also monitors this forum.

Does your computer support SSE4.1 ?

I assume you crash if you open the IPR Window too?

1) If you start a new scene, and open the Arnold IPR window, do you crash?

2) Please open a Terminal, and run this command:

sysctl -a | grep machdep.cpu.features

Then tell us what was printed in the Terminal window.

As a result of entering the command you provided

It was printed as follows

What should I do next?

Ok, your machine supports SSE4.1

If you start a new scene, and open the Arnold IPR window, do you crash ?

Can you post the _BugReport?

I attach a bug list.-bugreport.txt

There's nothing in the BugReport that helps.

I see from your other case with Autodesk support that you were able to render (the Arnold Render View was open, and the scene was rendered).

If you start a new, blank scene, when do you crash?

  • When you open the Arnold Render View?
  • When you click Create > Arnold > Surface > Standard Surface?

What version of C4DtoA are you using?

Create>Arnold>Surface>StandardSurface

error in this case.

I called the MAXON

But they said

not a problem with C4D
