MaterialX export

Hello,

i would like to use the power of the new MaterialX Operator in Maya 2017 with MtoA 3.0.

How can i export mtlx files from Maya?

Creating and exporting materialx is not something MtoA supports right now.

Thanks for your replies.

Indeed multiverse is doing a lot of things but not realy what we want to do.

Is this possible to download the example scene with the bottle and the Bottlemaya.mtlx going with it, from this page :

Just to see how the file is used and what is in it, please 🙂

Why would Arnold have this MaterialX import thing if it is not able to export such? Anyone expecting a Katana user making the lookDev and export a MaterialX file to render in Maya? That's the world upside down to me no?

We needed core infrastructure first: operators, then a materialx operator.

Now we can build on top of that, and provide export functionality in the plugins.
