How to create ID and Flow/Direction maps (AOVs) for xgen in Arnold?

Hello everyone, I'd like to ask a couple of questions regarding the creation of ID maps for Xgen in Arnold as an AOV.
Essentially what we need is for the primitives of the xgen description to have different values randomly assigned in grayscale. Even just 4-5 different values randomly spread across the primitives will do.

While we're at it, is there a way to have arnold render flow/direction maps for the hair strands in xgen? So ideally when you have an xgen description for the hair on a head, it would generate a flow map from that.
