MToA Logo on Glass

Hi, I am trying to put a logo on glass (I searched the forum but it was C4D).

I did use Transmission as attached but its not working as well as expected. I want the glass to be a tint of blue and that is in the image file attached to the color channel in the Transmission. However when I do this the glass becomes much more opaque.

I have opaque turned off

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you very much

You can use the Mix shader for this. Plug the logo (alpha) into the mix weight. The glass and label shaders into shader 1 and 2.

@Lee Griggs

thank you for the reply

My aiMixShader does not have a weight.

So if it did have a weight would that act as a mask (from the alpha)?

Also does it plug into the transmission colour?

thanks again

Yes Mix.

>Also does it plug into the transmission colour?

You shouldn't need to. Assign the Mix shader to the glass object.

@Lee Griggs

thanks again. I am struggling with this (apologies).

I have been trying for a while and attached are the nodes and the image that has transparency (box.png) which is plugged into the mix and also shader 1. Its just a semi-transparent colour in Shader 2

thank you

You need to plug in 2 shaders into the mix shader not textures. The aiMixShader is applied to your geo. You don't need to put into another shader.

@Brian Foley, @Lee Griggs

thank you very much for all the help. It took me a while because I did not realise I had to render to see the result - I thought I could see it in the viewport.

All liked, rewarded and accepted - thank you
