I have installed Mtoa on Linux and I get the following error:
76MB ERROR | [color_manager_syncolor] Initialization failed: Corrupted installation: The requested path to access the transforms does not exist: /Applications/Autodesk/maya2018/synColor
Do I need to set an environment variable?
I know that if I export the file without colour managment this error does not occur, but that is not an ideal solution.
/Applications/Autodesk/ is a macOS path
Did you somehow install the macOS version of MtoA on Linux?
Sorry, maybe I should give a little bit more explanation. The .ass files have been exported from Maya on a Mac machine. Then they are being transferred onto Linux render nodes to render.
Don't export the color manager nodes to the ass file. In most cases, you don't need them.
You don't need the color_manager_node, unless you're applying a custom transform to the render, or you changed the rendering space in Maya color management, or you haven't converted all textures to TX.
You don't need to export the color_manager_node if:
If you do need the color manager node, you can set the SYNCOLOR environment variable to point to a custom version of syncolorConfig.xml
It is multiple other users that are exporting the files, as I said initially I know that not exporting the color manager nodes does stop this issue.
I was just wondering if there was another solution, such as and environment variable, or a command line argument that could override this?
