Help, Arnold doesn't render Maya shaders in Maya 2018

2231-screen-shot-2018-08-23-at-121949-am.pngHi all. I'm having issues with Anorld to Maya 2018 renderer. I created an eye and textured it with Maya ramp and noise shaders. I also created an outer eye and made it transparent. This renders correctly in Maya renderers. But when I rendered using Arnold, the ramp and noise textures do not render. How can I fix this please?

NB: I've attached pics of the renders below. The picture showing the eye textures was rendered with Maya renderer while the other was done using Arnold.

What shaders are you using?

It seems you forgot to tune your glass shader(Cornea) on the eye

Also, remember to disable Opaque and enable Caustics for the outer cornea shader.

Thanks @Lee Griggs. I turned off opaque for Arnold under the Outer Eye mesh Attribute Editor. I used Maya shaders before and it didn't work. Using Arnold surface shader solved the problem. I guess Arnold doesn't recognize Maya ramp and noise shaders.

Didn't use glass shaders. Just ordinary Maya Lambert with transparency turned on.

Maya ramp and noise shaders should work fine. How was you using them?

I created materials for the noise and ramp shaders each. Then I created a Layered texture and connected both noise and ramp materials to it. Then I applied the layered texture to the eye. It rendered fine using Maya renderers, but Arnold wouldn't have it.

Great! MtoA also has its own layered shader, layer textures and mix shader.
