Accessing MoText index data in shaders

I'm looking to have certain words within 5 lines of text have a different color than the rest of the text.

Is it possible to achieve this with one of the user data nodes? If so, how?

You should be able to access the color of the letters, if the MoText object sets the display color of the objects. Just use a user_data_rgb shader with the attribute name display_color.
