Why does Arnold say I'm on Windows 8 Pro when I'm on 10?

In Maya, the Output Window tells me I'm on Windows 8 but i'm on the latest October 2018 update of Win 10 Pro?

Any idea why?

Here's the log:

Arnold, at the moment, is using an older Windows mechanism for detecting the version, but this method doesn't exist after Win8 which is why anything newer will still be reported as Windows 8 pro.
